WellSpace Health Welcomes New IT and HR Leaders

Sacramento, Calif. (August 11, 2021) – Nancy Bui-Thompson and Bruce Patton have been named WellSpace Health’s new Chief Information Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer.

 

Bui-Thompson joins WellSpace Health as the organization’s first Chief Information Officer after 20 years of providing strategic advisory services for technology and policy implementations to leading healthcare organizations like HealthNet/Centene, Sutter Health, Blue Shield of California, Delta Dental and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

 

At WellSpace Health Bui-Thompson will be responsible for all of the organization’s information technology including comprehensive clinical and business applications, technology innovation, and associated strategic planning. Bui-Thompson is well known in Sacramento as President of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Board of Directors and as one of the leads of the Del Paso Heights COVID Vaccination clinic that responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by opening free vaccination clinics in disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Patton is a seasoned human resources leader with a proven track record of building effective relationships to achieve operational outcomes through effective people processes. Patton previously served as a Director of Human Resources on the executive leadership team at CommonSpirit Health’s Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. While there, Patton had a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as employee engagement and performance management. Patton’s career includes human resources roles at Kaiser Permanente, DHL, and Compass Group.

Bui-Thompson and Patton will both serve on the WellSpace Health Executive Team where, in addition to their individual areas of expertise, they will contribute to advancing the mission of “achieving regional health through high quality comprehensive care.”
