Kathy Miller, LCSW

Philosophy

I provide supportive therapy to my clients as I would want to be supported – with respect, empathy, compassion, and from a non-judgmental stance; I strive to provide thorough and sound behavioral health care and guidance to my clients in a respectful, honest and ethical manner.

I support my clients as they navigate through memories of traumatic experiences, strive to move beyond just surviving these experiences to living the quality of life they desire for themselves. I support clients with serious and chronic behavioral health conditions deal more effectively with their symptoms and challenges resulting from these conditions.

In working with all of my clients, I utilize motivational interviewing, DBT techniques, trauma work and other related behavioral health techniques and approaches.

My goal is to support my clients through very difficult experiences, develop new effective tools and skills for dealing with life’s challenges, and to experience with confidence they can meet future challenges with success.
